WWF, the World Wide Fund for Nature, is dedicated to protecting wildlife around the globe. Founded in 1961, it works to preserve wild species and to reduce the human impact on the environment.
Headquartered in Switzerland, WWF works in more than 100 countries. That lets it follow what is happening to wildlife closely and act wherever help is needed. Its projects in Africa, the Amazon and Australia are well known, and many more run far from the public eye.
Fast industrialisation keeps shrinking the habitats wild animals depend on.
Protecting endangered species takes long-term funding, and it is hardest to find in countries that cannot yet afford green technology while their cities grow quickly.
If you want to help keep wildlife and our planet as untouched as possible, WWF directs support to its most urgent work, such as protecting the last habitats of endangered species.
